In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we regretfully announce that the 2020 Victorian Rural Health Conference originally taking place 1 – 3 May in Bendigo has been cancelled.
This decision has been made to ensure the needs of our rural communities are met, as well as the safety and well-being of our rural doctors and healthcare professionals. It is also anticipated that there will be an increase in demand for health services in the coming months.
At this stage, there are considerations for the conference to be rescheduled for later in the year however this may not be possible with so many events in the process of being cancelled and rescheduled.
The Victorian Rural Health Awards ceremony was originally set to occur on the weekend of the conference, however, given the circumstances, alternative arrangements will be made. RWAV will make further announcements about the awards shortly.
