RWAV is delighted to partner with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) to support rural GPs to undergo training that boost access to mental health care services in regional and rural Victoria.
RWAV has provided funding that will subsidise approximately 100 of RACGP’s members in rural Victoria to become Medicare registered Focussed Psychological Service providers.
This comes at a time when access to mental health care services in country Victoria are needed more than ever, and patients are turning to their community GPs for mental health support.
The partnership is made possible with funding RWAV receives from the Commonwealth Department of Health, through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program.
