Significant changes will start to occur in our Rural Health Outreach Fund program over the next year, which will bring stimulating healthcare reform for the communities in which outreach service providers work. The aim of the review is to ensure:
- equitable access to services
- service provision meets the needs of the communities
- services align with current workforce needs
- better utilisation of the funds allocated to Victoria to meet the growing health demands
- key stakeholders and community groups are engaged each step of the way.
A number of local stakeholder meetings will be arranged over the coming months with the RWAV Regional Program Officers to discuss the changes. We look forward to working with you during this exciting time.
