RWAV attended the Hume Region Health Conference arranged by Rural Workforce, East Division Health Department of Health and Human Services. It was a great opportunity to network with allied health and nursing delegates to promote services and grants available for rural health professionals.
The RWAV nursing and allied health program assists with recruitment of nurses and allied health professionals at no cost to the employer. Relocation and retention grants provides financial assistance to eligible candidates to relocate from metropolitan to rural and regional locations.
RWAV administers the Allied Health Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Post Graduate Scholarship Grants which aim to improve retention of health professionals in rural areas by providing financial support for further education and attending conferences.
