Funding for the Eye and Ear Surgical Support Services (EESSS) will reopen on 1 July 2020. The EESSS was established to reduce the impact of chronic eye and ear conditions by improving access to surgical interventions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, placed on a waiting list for initial consultation and or surgery. To ensure that we are fulfilling our obligation to the program guidelines, we will be revising our referral pathway to improve the delivery of the program. We look forward to sharing this with you in the next financial year.
